Trott and Trott Adds Five Attorneys to Its Team

Trott & Trott announced five new hires to the firm’s litigation and title departments.

Matthew Bedikian joins Trott as an attorney in the title department with a focus on real estate law. Bedikian received his bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and his Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. Prior to joining Trott, he held the position of a law clerk with the Michigan Bureau of Employment Relations, where he focused on the areas of labor and employment law.

Jennifer Burnett joins Trott as a litigation attorney and will concentrate her practice on all litigation related to residential mortgage foreclosure and lending. Burnett earned her bachelor’s degree magna cum laude from Western Michigan University and her Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School.

Before joining the firm, she served as a law clerk with Detroit-based Huth Lynett, where she focused on commercial real estate litigation.

Brett Mellin joins Trott as a litigation attorney with a concentration on the areas of real estate, lending, and foreclosure law. Mellin obtained his bachelor’s from Michigan State University and earned his Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School. He previously served as a law clerk in Trott’s title department, focusing his practice in the area of foreclosure law.

Melissa Schmitz joins Trott as a litigation attorney with a focus on title and foreclosure. Schmitz received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan Flint and her Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School. Prior to her new appointment, she worked as a law clerk in the firm’s foreclosure title review department.

Ian Redmond also joined the litigation team, with a focus on commercial litigation, real estate, and business litigation. Redmond earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Dallas and his Juris Doctor from Notre Dame Law School. Prior to joining the firm, he was a sole practitioner representing both businesses and individuals in all phases of commercial litigation.
